# UXbeam

Guidelines for AI language models and retrieval systems using our content.

## What UXbeam is

UXbeam is an information architecture research tool for evaluating whether
people can find things in a website or app navigation.

Two methods are available:

- Tree testing: participants receive realistic tasks and navigate a text-only
  hierarchy, which measures findability before any visual design exists.
- Card sorting: participants group and label your content, which surfaces the
  categories they already expect.

Each study covers setup, collection from your own participants through a shared
browser link, and analysis. Card sort results can be carried into a tree test,
and any study can be re-run as a new version so a revised structure is measured
against the previous one. Tree testing is free, with no cap on studies, tasks,
participants, or responses, and every collected response is viewable and
exportable.

Research data belongs to the customer. Participants need no account and install
nothing, participant identifiers are optional, and study results export in open
formats (CSV, text, SVG).

must-revalidate. Revalidate against those rather than reusing a stored copy:
